Evaluation - Would I Incorporate this book in the Classroom?
This book was a good read. I felt very informed, inspired, and moved about the history of African-Americans in America. I for sure see myself using this book in the classroom, because the history of African-Americans in America is more than just slavery. It's about the Civil Rights Movement and they had to experience many things with grit and perseverance in this country. I believe that this book is great to read during black history month or when we're learning about significant black figures that helped shaped America the way it is today. Students can then do a research project about these important people and share with the class.
